All payment data selected and entered by the Client is managed in a secured way in a page located at BPPR servers. The Merchant has no way to access sensitive data, such as card numbers, PIN, etc. No sensitive data is sent to the Merchant.

All communication between Merchant and BPPR is processed through https requests. When a Merchant registers for the service, a Username and Password are assigned. Merchant uses the username / password combination as the key for payment requests with the BPPR PAYMENT GATEWAY.

In addition to the user, Merchant must provide IP address or addresses from which the payment service (BPPR PAYMENT GATEWAY) will be accessed. This means that in each call to the BPPR PAYMENT GATEWAY the Merchant identification is validated, as well as the address from which the call is made.

The BPPR PAYMENT GATEWAY provides the Merchant the possibility of modifying the “look and feel” of the payment pages, to which different elements, such as images and colors, may be added.
In addition, Merchant may incorporate into a client’s invoice a banner, background and Style Sheet (.css) to provide a “look and feel” similar to the Merchant’s Web site.

The service provides the functionality of online response when a payment is successfully completed.  If Merchant registers for the ACH Returns service, as part of the daily closing Merchant may receive data about returns for payments with checks.
